August is one of the best times to visitOkavango region. It falls in the heart of the dry season so it basically will not rain. expect warm, sunny days and cool, crisp nights. Daytime temperatures around 26–30°C (79–86°F), with nights and early mornings dropping to 6–10°C (43–50°F).
Layering is essential. Pack lightweight, breathable clothing for the day (long sleeves help with sun and insect protection), and a fleece or insulated jacket asnd socks for chilly evenings and early bush walks. During the day quick drying clothes are great. A wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, and a scarf or buff is good to have. Footwear should be sturdy and comfortable — closed shoes or hiking sandals work well.
